Altered Pages Kitty Kit

I have been working on a cute little kit for Altered Pages doing Skinnys with Kitties on them.  Here are a couple examples:

The first one is called School Dazes - I used a brown paper that had the ribbon printed right on it and jazzed it up with some gold and blue beads and Distressed Stickles in Antique Lines.  I also used the glitter glue in the center of the button. Then I added the words made with my trusty Dymo Labeler.

For the second Skinny, which I named Gone Fishing, I used a green and purple background paper, buttons in matching colors and around the border of the image I used a light green glitter glue.
All images used are from Altered Pages.

Send Love Today

I have my card done early this week - Yeah. I saw this great card shape in a magazine and wanted to try it. It came out so good I have already used it to make a few cards I needed to get done.

I created the card my cutting a piece of cardstock 5 x 12, at the center, 6" I cut out a half circle and then folded the card in half. For this card I embossed a paisley design and added a small felt flower with a pearl center. The paper is from K & Company and I added glitter to all the flowers. I stamped the Hello and heart with Coffee Bean and Rocket Red inks. The stamps are from Hero Arts. I also added a little pink glitter on the kitty's ears and nose.
Thanks for looking at my work and I hope it gives you ideas for something special that you want to make.

Altered Art Book

You may ask "Now you make all these really cute projects, but what do you do with them?" Well, since you asked I keep most of them in this wonderful book I am making. When I first make the piece I put it up on my bulletin board and when the challenge is over I put them in this book. It's really a weekly planner and it works great with the weekly challenges as I can put them in the week they were done. I also use some of the pieces I make in card I do - I like to show my book around and if someone like a piece I'll take it and make a card for them.
For the book I pained the whole thing with Gesso for a good starting place, I then added crackle paint in Old Paper, stamped images, and Alcohol Inks. The wing and letters are Grungboard. The letters are painted with Fire Brick Crackle Paint and while it was still wet I added glitter. The wings are painted a metallic Gold and the cat image is from Altered Pages. I still want to add more to it so it's a work in progress.

Skinny Saturday - Be Inspired

The challenge this week for Skinny Saturday is:

This weeks theme is to create a Skinny and incorporate an ATC into it……..any theme goes so be inspired this week at Skinny Saturday!!!

My take on a Skinny and an ATC. I have attached the ATC by using a hinge sticker. I used a few scraps of paper and I used pink glitter pen around the pictures. The Kitty pictures is from a collage sheet from Alter Pages. The background is a metallic cardstock.
