Zentangles to Share

I did a Zen Bookmark swap and I wanted to share what I sent and what Sandy sent me. This is the front and back for the one I received from Sandy - her Zens's really rock!! I just love the sun on the front.
Thanks again Sandy!!

These are the two that I sent to Sandy. When I started them I wasn't very happy with them but as I started to add color everything started to pop and I ended up really liking them both.
This was really fun Swap and I now off to work on more Zen's. I find them to be very addicting and very relaxing to work on. Hope this will encourage you to give it a try and share your work with others.

Thanks for looking.

Send Love Today

Here is my newest card for SLT . I got to play with a new product for this card - Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Screens from Tattered Angels. The Mist is a really cool spray with lots and lots of sparkle to it and it come in a wide variety of colors. The Screen is a stencil that you spray over to get the design. For this card I used Glimmer Mist in Pink Taffy and once the design was dry I added Silver Glitter using a Glitter Pen. You can never have too much sparkle!!! The words were made with my trusty Dymo Labler and I added Distressed Ink in Pine Needle for a little contrast in colors. I the flowers are from Bazzill and Prima and once again I have added glitter with my Glitter Pens. The background paper is from Fancy Pants and I made the glitter design on white cardstock.
Thanks for taking a look and I would love to see you comments.

Our House - Butterfly - Fly Free

This week the challenge at Our House - We have Butterflies in the house.

My house has butterflies set free to fly. The background paper is from Cosmo Cricket, I used a little narrow piece using the other side for the roof line and the two corners I cut off to make the peak I painted with Crackle Paint in Shabby Shutters and Tattered Rose. While the paint was still wet I added glitter for that bit of sparkle. I cut the window and added an orange background for contrast of colors and a little ribbon for the shutters. The butterflies are from a vintage sticker sheet that I printed on Photo paper and I only adhered them in the center so their wings can fly. The buttons are from Foof-a-la and I used my Dymo Labler to create the words. I sanded the words a bit and added Distressed Ink in Tea Dye to bring out the letters. The little flowers are also from Cosmo Cricket and I added a bit of glitter glue to them.

Altered Art Book

You may ask "Now you make all these really cute projects, but what do you do with them?" Well, since you asked I keep most of them in this wonderful book I am making. When I first make the piece I put it up on my bulletin board and when the challenge is over I put them in this book. It's really a weekly planner and it works great with the weekly challenges as I can put them in the week they were done. I also use some of the pieces I make in card I do - I like to show my book around and if someone like a piece I'll take it and make a card for them.
For the book I pained the whole thing with Gesso for a good starting place, I then added crackle paint in Old Paper, stamped images, and Alcohol Inks. The wing and letters are Grungboard. The letters are painted with Fire Brick Crackle Paint and while it was still wet I added glitter. The wings are painted a metallic Gold and the cat image is from Altered Pages. I still want to add more to it so it's a work in progress.

Words were made with Dymo Labeler and paper. I sanded the embossed letters to get them white. I added Diamond Glitter Glue to the ribbon and the Brides dress for the bit of sparkle.
